HELLO FROM GOLD COAST!

Hi Guys!

Hello from Gold Coast!

Last week James and I decided to fly up to Gold Coast with the kids, and we are loving the sun, water and our resort.

I must say and share with you all that our holiday started at Pallazzo Versace with a terrible near drowning incident of my baby Sophia “Susu.” I was so shocked when I saw a group of people run towards the pool as I momentarily took my eyes off Sophia. I was shocked! But, I did not think for a second that the crowd were running toward the pool for “my daughter” – these things never happen to you —you only hear about them. This time though, it did happen to me, and I have been traumatised by the incident ever since. Thank goodness, I had two angels helping my Susu – the man that pulled her out when she went under and the man who performed CPR on my baby. She was unconscious for a few seconds, and upon CPR she vomited water and started crying. Her cry reminded me of the day she was born when I heard her voice for the first time. Thank god she is crying! As you can imagine, I was a mess. We were raced to the hospital, and fortunately, she is well and truly ok. Children are so resilient – and I can only count my lucky stars that she was back in the water healthy and playing the next day.

I cannot stress enough how important it is to keep children safe around water as it truly only takes seconds for the most tragic outcome. Supervision of under 16 year olds should be constant! I owe my whole life to the two lovely gentlemen who saved my baby girl. I will forever hold them dear to my heart and keep them in my prayers.
